Hello I need help with questions concerning help desk. I received a MCSE and MCP in 2000 which i believe has expired. I worked at a internet company for 3 years starting with dialup support advancing to T1's and routers and into management. I was laid off in 2003 with the wave of technical support closings in the area (Dallas, TX). I worked for a telecommunication company for a little over a year in entry level telephone support.

I'm currently working collections for Cingular. I'm interested in getting into the help desk field. I'm pretty computer literate but not specific to help desk issues.

I would like to break into the industry. I need help on picking a path to go. I'm looking into certification. Home study with books and software and would like some advice on the best way to pursue the career.

Any help anyone can give or advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
